300ZX Wheels

My search for a set of cheap 16s has lead me to look at 300ZX wheels.

Does anybody know if I need to make modifications for them to fit, or is it just a case of boshing them straight on?

The 5x114.3 PCD is the same as the SW20, spigot diameter is different so you'd need to use a spigot ring SW20 - 60.1mm, 300ZX - 66.4mm

They'll fit strait on but as said you'll need hubcentric spigot rings.

Also make sure you ONLY get wheels from a UK Turbo. Not import turbo or N/A. Only the UK Turbos had the wider rear rims which you will need or the offset will be wrong.

Front wheels can come from any model.

Ahhhh champion, thanks chaps. I did the elementary research to check basically if they fit, but the knowledge about spigot rings must have passed me by. Similar about the offsets. Are there any markings on the wheels that I can check for to see if the items are the right ones - i'll be buying off eBay so the chances are the seller won't have a clue what they are from. The ones I'm looking at are listed to have a 205/50/16 front and a 225/50/16 rear. Does that sound about right?

Are there any re-sellers out there that are known to people to be particularly good? I've not actually been able to source a spigot ring that will fit as of writing this - closest I can get is a 60.1-66.1.

I ordered my spigot rings from a company in Manchester but l cant remember the name. But the Number is 07400298300. Custom made. Its 60.1 and 66.1 you want not 66.4. Just found where l got my info from.

The standard size on the 300s are

F - 225/50/16
R- 245/45/16

Running F-205 and R-225 the tyres will appear stretched. Take a close look at the 225 tyres on ebay. They should appear stretched if on the wider rims that normally have 245 tyres.

Also the wider rears are slightly dished.

BTW the size for the MR2 you'll need is

F-205/45/16
R-225/45/16

I've just bought a set of 300ZX wheels off ebay. What wheel nuts did you use?

I've had a look at the bolt hole base, and it's flat, so stock MR2 wheel nuts or others?

Quite a bump blast from the past but thought it better than starting a new thread.

you need to drill out the holes to use the original MR2 wheel nuts? Is that what you did?

Just stuck my finger down one of the wheel nut holes, and they're tapered! I thought being stock wheels, and looking down at them, they were flat seat.

I can just use my existing tuner nuts.

I thought the same when I got my Nissan R32 GTST/GTR wheels but they also use tapered fit wheel nuts.
