Right, a few people have been asking if there is going to be a convoy up on the Friday night. This is a little bit tricky as people are coming from all over the country, but I’m happy to lead one for those coming from London, South Central and South West.

Plan is to meet at the A43/M1 services and the cruise up north from there. I’ll aim to arrive at 7pm and will hang around, have a cup of tea etc. and leave at 7.30pm with anyone who may have turned up in the meantime! If anyone is planning on joining us and wants my mobile number please drop me a pm.

Likewise, anyone who is planning a convoy of their own and wouldn’t mind a few hangers-on please post up the details and I’ll share them around the clubs :)

Postcode for the services A43/M1 is NN4 9QS.

I will probably try going up earlier but if not I'm happy to tag along with this :)

What's going on with the SC? Last thing I read mentioned HGF.

I went to fix a flappy undertray the other day and ended up just taking them all off in a moment of madness. Hopefully I'll have some flat ones sorted by Blyton or else I'll just put the old ones back on.

Where can you get flat ones ?

I bought a set of 2nd hand ones which I've got to fix up before I can put them back on...

I'm gonna see if I can make some or get some made up. I'm basically just gonna draw up some plans from the existing ones.

I'm going to be driving up the M42/M6/M1 route on Friday mid afternoon. My first time trailering, so I want to leave plenty of time :)

Anyone is welcome to tag along, but I'll be driving slow, and I haven't been before so can't promise not to get lost.

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...

I have a feeling that my new tyres won't be showing up in time for the track day. I also have a sneaky feeling i wont be able to find a decent MOT place before hand either as it runs out a few days before.

"No sir i know it says in my book you have to comply to 0.000003% dirty molecules in your exhaust emissions cataleptic converter test and I am going to assume that you don't have a catatonic converter because you looks like it has one taken out sir is it modified?"

I'd be interested in some of these if you can get a job lot? I have no undertrays and would like a flat floor. I'd also like to add a rear diffuser (oh for hours of free time!!)

I'm gonna talk to a company in Birmingham that made up some stuff for my dad - they seem reasonable, rate wise and I'm sure would be up for a job lot.

Just seen the underside of mine at jem...most of the original bots have sheared and are rusted into the captive bolts...I think half the work will be providing a strong enough mount to bolt the trays back onto. Grinding and welding will be required. Mine is a 1991 and has had them on until only recently... If you've had them off for long - expect corrosion.

i wouldn't like to run without trays for too long, I'd imagine something flying up and hitting those water pipes wouldn't do them much good.

Okay doesn't look like Demon Tweeks can get me my new tyres after all ("yes it should be about a week, sir" A week ago and nothing since) so Blyton will be the end of my T1-Rs.
