[Mk2] [NA] Suspension broke :(

Post by Blue2UK »

Can someone confirm that I'm looking at a rusted through top cup before I go about buying a new one taking my car apart?

I realise if this one's gone then the other will be soon to follow but I just need it back on the road for now!

It does look as though it should be replaced. Shock doesn't look too happy, either.

Take it out as a whole easy enough to do and then you can give it a good look over, could have it out have a look and then back in within the hour. For the price of a new spring cup and other stuff you may need, a second hand set might be a decent option always some for sale.

Why put it back together?
I wouldn't even dare drive it!

+1.

It's obvious what needs replacing. About £30 from Toyota.
