my springs look absolutly shot
but I dont want lowering springs and tried kyb springs and the car
looked as high as a rangerover
I could live with -15mm but not minus 30/35mm as most spring kits are
Not sure KYB actually ever made springs for our cars, and would certainly be surprised if they made them rather high. FYI: the least offensive lowering springs easily obtainable these days are probably the Eibachs. The newer ones, since 2009, lower the car approximately 1" at most. The older ones lowered it only about .75". I think enough American owners cried about it so that they finally lowered them the extra .25", lol. Otherwise their front rates are a bit softer than the TRD springs, while the rear ones are about the same. I think most people find them a nice alternative to oem springs without being too stiff, or too low.
Depending on the springs you put on it, you may not even notice any height difference. If you have original suspension and shocks then chances are they are worn and the car is sitting lower then factory specification anyway.
Lowering by 30mm does not make too much difference, in my humble opinion, I have had no real issues with the car being lowered, I can cross speed humps and get in and out of everywhere I have tried too.
The only issue has been placing it on the back of a low loader, they had to send a different one after the first attempt, and then putting it onto a set of ramps from the front.
However lowering it 30mm, not sure what springs (bought from Limeymk1 ages ago and forget the name) combined with KYB shocks does produce a very harsh ride. Whilst I have driven a long way in it, you would not want to be doing cobbled roads in it on a regular basis.
