I think that the general feeling of the poeple travelling from the North East is we would like to meet up @ Windermere. We are having a local meet on Tuesday so should be able to confirm a meeting point for Sunday.

We could do with sorting out meeting points pretty quick. One was suggested for the services at junc 36 of the m6 for people driving up that way. Is anyone going to be driving up the m6 ie coming from the midlands/merseyside? :)

Hi blue2 , it's just a lot straight forward route for us to go to Windermere. If you can let us know what time you will be due to arrive there.

Think I may have to miss this one out due to car problems. At present it looks like I will be replacing my turbo or an intercooler at the weekend. I will keep you posted.

Just pull your finger out - Saturday = turbo, Sunday = Lakes

Or just drop it off at that garage in Stanley.

Is it cream crackered? You recently bought a new intercooler didnt you?

Looking promising for me now folks. Just bought a 2nd hand steel shaft CT20b with 55K miles on it. Getting gaskets on Friday morning and taking Friday off to take it to bits and should hopefully have it back together Fri/Sat. Cant thank Graeme and Stuart enough for all the phoning around they have done (and hopefully helping me out with the fitting). From the doom and gloom of last night thinking I was off the road for a few weeks, to a happier chap hoping he can still make the lakes. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Check in Saturday to see how things have gone and i can arrange meeting points with those from the east coast.

Is that you interested in my PP intercooler James? Its not available yet mate.

Really upset, looks like I'm going to have to drop out.......

My cars got a dire fuel consumption problem and I haven't got time to fix it

Is anyone needing a passenger who will be going past Junction 28 on the M1?

No mate, but i thought you had only just bought a new intercooler? You said it could be that which is causing you problems above?

Im getting the feeling that having 2 meeting places would be better and easier for everyone. So hows about this:- Anyone coming from the south/midlands, if they wish, can meet up with fellow members at the services junc 36 of the m6
Other members coming from the North/Northeast if they wish can meet us at Windermere.
Now all we need is a time to meet at junc 36 and a time to meet at Windermere.

I am coming from Merseyside so I can probably get to the services in a hour and a half (cant afford ANY more points! ) so how does 12-12:30pm sound to everyone. Then we can convoy up to Windermere to meet everyone else, then drive the planned route, oh ye, and find a bbq area! Sorted!

I need to know how long it takes to get from junc 36 to Windermere, Im guessing about 30 mins, if so we could meet there at 1pm. Im not really bothered what time we all meet up, this is just a suggested time.
I am, however a little concerned as all my local garages are out of petrol! Hopefully this will get sorted asap.
