Is it possible to get camber adjustable mounts for the struts on a Mk1 please ?
Have looked online but only found them for coilovers

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Not sure if Corolla (FWD) fits:
http://www.nengun.com/cusco/pillow-ball-upper-mounts
Thing is, it only allows easy camber adjustment. The race cars had quite a lot of negative camber on stock top mounts, so it must be do-able with camber bolts.
Top mounts do give a more direct feel (I've got them with coilovers on my GT), but it also increases road noise and NVH of course.
Edit: Found some, really cheap at £250 and that's for the rears. If you're going to spend that much, might as well go for budget coilovers like BC etc.

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Tweeks sell universal eccentric roller bearing top mounts. You sort your own collar/bush to make the shock a snug fit and you drill and tap your own bolt holes to locate the strut top in the strut tower.

Real engineering, 10mm alloy plate and a huge and easily replaced bearing.

Not sure yet
Just want to experiment
Perhaps 1.75 might be enough
Have used more on other cars in the past

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
My GT runs 2 deg neg on the front and 1.75 rear.
I know the race cars used 3 deg neg or so.
1.75 Should be enough for the road though?

Those might be a bu88er to set up with the stock camber adjustment system. Unless you get rid of the stock system but I can see that being a bit of a PITA to do with the enlarged holes in the strut. And would it give you any more adjustment?
Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Have done a quick measure & it seems that the max neg camber I can get with the built in Mr T adjuster is about 2 degrees
So defo not worth messing with the Eibach bolts
Would like to be able to experiment with considerably more neg
And be able to quickly & easily make adjustments
So will investigate the top mount possibilities next top mounts for me

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Any more than 2 deg negative camber is likely to significantly increase tyre wear. It's excessive for the road really.

I entirely agree
The difference in my case is that I use mine on road very little

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Best bet is to along to an MR2 race and talk to people I would think, if you're pursuing a track set up.
It's been 8 years since I last raced an MR2 and it wasn't my car, so I don't remember the setup.

Good idea, I could also try asking on the MR2 Championship forum perhaps

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
Have now found a post by Patrick which states that any form of adjustable top mount is prohibited for the Championship series
There may be a Roadsport series with different rules

Re: Camber Adjustable Top Mounts
That tells you that they do manage to get quite a lot of negative camber without any top mounts. They must do it on camber bolts I would guess.
Best to get an idea of what they run in respect of camber as you may find you can achieve a similar setup fairly easily, you just need the figures.
