Nice, I've been looking at fitting the sub into the stock cubby box enclosure, as it makes use of the low down wasted space

(which helps reduce the height and visibility from the road) and

also provides some support for the sub box too.

I was also thinking of making a curved back panel to fit the curve of the bulkhead, as a straight back on the box will leave a gap between the box and the bulkhead.

I was going to use several layers of thin plywood, bend them to fit some contoured side pieces and glue them on top of each other to build up strength/thickness to the same as the MDF.

Any idea what the volume of your box is?

I need 14 litres for my sub.

Do people clamp their boxes into the car, or are they just resting?

I'd have thought for best sound, if you can bolt/clamp the box to the bulkhead, you're increasing the mass of the box significantly, and less of the speaker energy will be wasted by moving the box, rather than the cone??

Cheers,
