Machine mart sell an electric impact wrench if you don't have a compressor etc.
This is what we used but you still need to lock the flywheel as even with car in gear and handbrake on, engine still turned

I've not tried that no.
I've already got a bit of metal to make a small bracket.
I'm not a big fan of just jamming something here or sticking something there.
