Something cotton or paper... avoid foam. Don't bother paying lots more for big names, the filtering is not guaranteed to be better. With cone filters it's possibly better to buy cheap and replace as a service part (bearing in mind that's what you'd do with the standard panel filter anyhow).
Basically, don't over-think it.

Not HKS if you're thinking Mushroom filter.
K&N cone on the throttle body does the job well enough.
