Well im basing my assumption that its genuine on the post mentioned above on the supra forum, this one is cited to be genuine and mine looks identical to his.

Now I know this is for a Supra, but this does make sense that certain parts would be the same, I cant see Toyota making several different molds for producing the same piece?
Ie: end caps, and spoiler stands, I can however see the centre wing section being different molds due to different car widths.
(mr2, supra and celica)

there seems to be a few tell tale markings, however if anyone reading this has a replica TRD spoiler and wouldnt mind checking theirs against what ill post up later

(at work at the mo)

Raised section on the inside of the side cover plates which have L and R stamped.

Side of the wing itself has studs built in for easy installation

The standard Toyota interior push plugs are used to secure the side plates to the spoiler

(Replicas use flush screws)

The metal screws and brackets used to adjust the spoiler match up with what mine have.

Obviously what im putting above means nothing without detailed pictures, but ill match up images from the supra forum, jdmpit pictures and my own spoiler to hopefully verify authenticity.

Do you personally know of any tell-tale markings that the genuine one has that replicas do not and whilst checking mine ill keep my eye out for these.

As the moment the spoiler is now off sale, until authenticity can be verified which is only fair.

If it turns out this is a replica then the price will be severely adjusted to reflect, but if it turns out to be a genuine

(which im 99% sure it is given the markings shown here

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showth ... r-spoiler- and what mine has) then the price will remain, but probably slightly reduced.

Although, if the replicas have the same markings as the genuine ones, it does make the situation very muddy, surely there are some tell-tale markings somewhere.
