Hi,

Thanks for the excellent and informative replies

As I've got discs and pads for front and rears, it makes sense for me to have a look at the other three before buying stuff in case I need more than one.

The OSF is the only one I've attempted so far and where I found the seized sliding pin, and then it got dark so I had to stop anyway.

The others might be similar for all I know.

I don't know what state the calipers are in either

- I'll see how smoothly the pistons push back in.

I can see from the pin that I was able to slide out that the previous mechanic had used copper grease on them.

I found that Toyota Rubber Grease on ebay

(thanks raptor9GTS and stuMR2eye for the heads up on that), but it was coming from the US so postage was over

£25! I've googled for it but haven't been able to find anyone in the UK advertising it.

I'll drop Fensport an email to see if they have any

(I can't find it advertised on their site).

If I can't get any of that rubber grease for a sensible price, would MS3 grease do?

Thanks going4the1 for the links

- it makes it easier to see when everything's laid out.

super

- thanks for the offer but I'm in Wales so not that close to the South East.

I do have a propane torch though which I've used for soldering pipes when doing the plumbing in my previous house so if I need to resort to heat, I can try that.

I'll see if I can get replacement bracket(s) at a reasonable price first

- it might be handy to have spares anyway.

I expect I'll run into other problems but I never expected this to be totally straight forward.

I expect the discs will take quite a bit of encouragement to come off.

Cheers,
Kingsley.
