Is this the correct air filter etc?

Post by humdigadi »

I'd like to replace the induction kit on my Rev 2 Turbo with a stock airbox. I've found this but I'm not sure it is the correct version for the Rev 2 (it has a AFM but I don't know what a Rev 1 would look like). Would I need anything else or is this everything I need.

Thanks, Matt

It looks the same as the one I have which is off a rev 2 turbo. There are part numbers on mine as follows...........

On top of the box......TOYOTA 7412

On the side....22020-74220
100141-0610

That one looks good to go and you already have your AFM........

Thanks bigal,

Looking at the first photo though, is there not something that should connect to that hole or I'd that the intake?

Hi Matt, Yes you're right it does look as though some sort of intake should fit onto the round hole and probably connects to the air intake on the exterior.

I've always had an aftermarket air filter fitted and I only have the filter housing as in the photos.

Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

There is a black plastic box that attaches to that hole and mounts on the rear firewall. You'd probably want one of those too.

..the only thing I can promise for sure is slow progress.

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...
