I check my phone much more frequently than i check my inbox!For sale is a 1992 Rev 2 Toyota MR2 TURBO GT in excellent condition for its age.
The car is finished in the desirable black and it is the GT spec - which is considered as the luxury specification in the MR2 line up as they include: half leather/half suede alacantera seats and door cards, ABS, 2 stage air conditioning, folding retractable mirrors and electronic climate control. The car is in excellent condition for its age, with gleaming paintwork and tidy interior.
The pictures were taken on a cloudy day and they really don't do the car justice, which is why I would highly recommend coming to view the car in person.It comes with a few extras, which are:
- Engine air scoop- Half leather/half suede interior- Electric windows & folding mirrors- ABS- 2 stage air conditioning with climate control- Momo style racing steering wheel- K&N induction kit and air filter- HKS dump valve, which sounds absolutely superb- Spitfire turbo gauge- Turbo timer (professionally fitted and connected to the handbrake)- Clear front indicators- Sony CD & MP3 head unit 50W x 4 output- High security Toad alarm and immobiliser with installation certificate and 2 fobs- Central locking- 17" lightweight aluminium BKS racing alloysAs you can see, the car has had quite a bit of money spent on it with tasteful extras, while retaining the bodywork as standard.
In my opinion, this is the best way to modify an MR2 - tasteful mechanical and cosmetic extras. No ludicrous fibreglass wide body kit with rocket launchers sticking out the sides and Lamborghini doors, as they just look stupid and devalue the car (I'm sure everybody will have their own 2 pence worth).Car specifics are:
- Extremely low mileage of 77,000 miles- MOT until September 2014, road tax until February 2014- 2 brand new Maxxi tyres with 7mm tread- There is PART service history, which shows invoices and service receipts dating back many years- 2 keys and 2 alarm fobs- 2 previous UK ownersCar drives perfect and all mechanics are electrics are in working order.
Pulls strongly throughout the entire rev range. No noises from engine, clutch or gear box.Most recent service was conducted at Fengate Motors in Peterborough in October 2013, which included the following:
- New waterpump, coolant flush, new battery, cambelt change, fan belt change, new plugs. This cost over £350. I HAVE THE FULL INVOICE AND RECEIPT FOR THE WORK, AS WELL AS THE OLD PARTS to satisfy any potential buyer that it has been done.As with all 20 year Japanese sports car, there are always a few minor cosmetics issues.
These include: very slight bubbling underneath front passenger side wheel arch, slight oxidation in the paint on left hand side of spoiler (see final pic) and stitching undone on driver side seat bolster. These are all common problems with the MR2s.Again, please remember that the car is 20 years old, so there are a few minor stone chips here and there.
Nothing at all to detract from the overall look of the car, as it really is in excellent condition for its age, but I am being honest with any potential buyer. They are very minor cosmetic issues.So in summary, you are bidding on a genuine, unmolested and well kept example of the the iconic MR2 Turbo, with many extras and low mileage.
