So, hi.After 2 years of being off the road I decided to get my ar$e into gear and buy another car.
Started by looking at MX5's, but discovered I don't fit.
Then my sensible head took over and I briefly looked at Mondeo ST TDCI's. Then I ended up getting an MR2, because I'm not sensible and I wanted some RWD Japanese fun.After a few months of looking, I found one in London and set off to get it, after a 12 hour journey I was back home with it.
It's a 1996 Azure Blue MR2 GT, 143,000

A few little bits needed doing, so so far I've removed the sunstrip, stopped one of the front wheels rubbing, removed a switch that disabled the headlight motors, replaced the drivers mirror as it was smashed, fixed the horn wiring, replaced a worn gear knob, moved the air filter heatshield as it was blocking air from the air intake.
Went through the MOT 2 weeks ago with 2 advisories
- tighten the handbrake & replace the drop links. So that's all been done. Got receipts and servicing back to '99 too which is nice.Going to be quiet until January, at which point this will get a full service, clutch and timing belt change and maybe some HSD coilovers.
