rev3 fitting 180mph clocks and deristricting?

Need a bit of help.

Ive got some 180mph clocks to go in my rev3 turbo i fitted them but obviously the speedo is well out as mine still reeds km.

So what do i need to get this working?

And can i fit a hks sld to a rev3 to remove the limit? And will this affect the power steering.

I have a kmh to mph converter wired in to the back of my clocks which lifts the speed limiter to 180mph. I don't know about the hks item though sorry

All delimiters affect the power steering EXCEPT Stef's converter/delimiter which was purposely designed not to.

You will not like it when you go over the speed cut limit at 120 mph

Bob you mean going over 120mph in a mr2 or just with the pas still active?

Correct, they are no longer manufactured.

However, i have just received a Rev3 Turbo which i am to break on behalf of a customer, and according to his email, it has one fitted. So i do have one to sell.

I've been past 120mph already(on a private road obviously ) no issues, why wouldn't I like it?? By the way the limit was 112mph not 120

My limiter was set at 119mph (on say nav, my clocks are kph). .

I seem to remember the Stef Derner converters only work with 160mph clocks though ( I have been in contact with him to try and find one).

I'm after a Stef Derner one Peter if it is still available?

EDIT - that was rubbish! The 160mph clocks are only required for certain other converters/delimters. I can confirm, after re-visiting my e-mails and, more importantly, fitting a Steff Derner delimiter today, it works on my 180kph clocks. Clearly I haven't checked the delimeter but my 180kph clocks now work in mph instead. Checked accuracy with my sat nav too. Awesome bit of work by Steff, so bloody simple to install too.

Yes the limit should be 112 mph but every MR2 I have been in cuts at 120 mph.

With the pas working at higher speeds makes the front of the car feel light.

Hi All,

Sorry to go back to this old post, however, it does not seem to answer the original question and I have the same question.

In my car that I am rebuilding it still has the 110 clocks in it which I would like to change and de-restrict without it compromising anything else.

So can it be done, what do I need and where do I get it.

Also is it an easy fit?

Errrmmm, in three posts on here you've said you've got 180mph clocks, 160mph clocks and finally 110mph clocks!!

It doesn't matter though, the Stef Derner converter works with them all (it has a switch to either keep in mph or convert from kph to mph). And it delimits without affecting the power steering (as Peter stated).

Very very rare though I'm afraid

No imports had MPH speedos.

I understood the PAS turned off at 80kph. With the chip Davsurfa has, the PAS therefore won't turn off until 80 mph?

I have the same chip and whilst you can feel the difference, above 80 mph it's a moot point anyway.

I had an indicated 165mph on the autobahn and the car felt fine. It's not like your going round a lot of corners at that speed!!

I have seen HKS to a fuel cut defenser but not sure what that will achieve.

the only clocks available are

160mph UK
180kmph JDM

someone has simply put a 120 or 110mph dial face over the TOP of 180kmph dial (180kmph = 113mph)
