Made the 400 mile trip to JAE and back relatively issue free, i have a small CV boot pinhole which is spraying grease up my firewall, that needs sorting, apart from that it was a pleasure to drive, hard to keep below 70mph though, it always wants to gallop off beyond that.

Great to see a lot of you at JAE again, sorry we didn't get longer to chat Lauren i had me head buried in that AE86 engine bay!

I forgot to take pics of my own car at JAE so pinched these off Ollies facebook page....

The car seemed to go down well with most, Jap performance mag seem keen to do a feature.

Really enjoyed getting her to JAE this year, big plans for the car this Winter so i'll keep the build thread updated.

No worries, but was good to catch up. :+:

Sounds like there was a few things that needed tidying on that AE86. It was immaculate though underneath when I had a look.

Thanks for those pics Lauren, i can't believe i spent the whole weekend talking to people and didn't take pics of the car on the club stand.

That AE86 looked pretty good, the engine conversion looked a bit ratty here and there, luckily i spotted a serious issue with a battery main live cable running against the PS pulley, that would have been a bad day when that earthed out.

Nice couple too, he seems keen to keep and improve the car.

A Nissan lump of some sort, not sure which as i'm not clued up on Nissan engines, it looked "ok" , just a bit rushed and not thought out by whoever did it.

It was an SR20DE the NA 2 litre 16v engine.

I admit I know nothing of these dirty neesan engines!

Fair to say the SR20 is the Nissan equivalent to the 3S IMO
IMOC-UK - the only club to win 'Best Club Stand' at JAE more than once, and twice in a row!

It must be, some guy just gave me a real dilemma, been offered £16k for it today as it stands and i have no clue what to do :shock:

I've spent a long time and a lot of money building her, i know i can never replace it without going through the whole process, which would be agony, but £16k is a ton of money.... it owes me £10k without accounting for any labour, but no way would £6k pay for that.... help!

Answers on a postcard, because at this moment i have no clue what to do, i have only just started to enjoy the finished article, attending a few shows and make the build pay me back in enjoying the thing was the plan.... but then £16k goes a long way to funding my next project, it just won't be a Mk1.
