Mark E you recon 0.2 bar could give you an extra 30 bhp??

Well when i last rolled the car with the club it hit 280bhp running only 8psi ... which was interesting.

Now i fitted Phoenix Power I/C and granier valve and its running 16 psi, which is about a 0.6bar increase. What could that be an increase off?

Will run 18 psi on the day though, really want to know whats been done internally so i know if i can raise boost further or not!!???[/quote]

you are always limited by the Stock ECU.
have you checked what you have ?.. maybe a standalone or a piggy back ? - pull back the carpet lining in the boot on the firewall (left and side) and see what you have.

unless you are running uprated cams (which you would probably hear / feel as lumpy idle) - i dont think a standard internal car is gonna push out the kind of figures on a Standard ECU that you are projecting (ie 280bhp @ 8psi now... + 30bhp per 0.2bar - so you are thinking an extra 90bhp @ 0.6bar extra / 16psi).

don't think that's gonna happen my friend - 370horses at the fly ? =; (well not on a standrd ECU it aint).

Have you checked your ignition Timing ? - that's another thing that could have been adjusted to give more oomph... at the danger of more DET i might add.

FYI - I got on the same day 306.1 @1bar at the fly... but later found out my Timing had been set to 15 - not good! :evil: =;

Reserve list would be fine, because I'll watch if you all go on.

I'll probably bring my Mk1, everyone can be assured of not coming last in the power stakes :D

As Frank says really.

Mine made 310bhp at 1.2bar and then 347 at 1.4bar, so i'm guessing for a good 30 increase again for another 0.2bar.

Frank,

Could you add Mark Jones (markiii) to the reserve list please? He's got a Roadster with a Hass Autoworks Turbo kit - he's not yet dyno'd the car, but others with similar maps have got 250 - 270bhp at the hubs @ Thor once the boost is turned up

It would be good to see what toruqe and power figures its making, especially compaired to my smaller PE turbo kit.

Apparently J-Tuner have lost the photos/info for the last IMOC rr day article. Does anyone know how to contact them to get them along to the next one?

Hi can you stick me down on the reserve list please. (just in case)
I'm keen to find out what I'm running after the tubby conversion and recent induction/exhaust upgrades.

Cheers
