I think if I sell, it is going to have to be a 'vette. I'll still come on here because all the 'vette clubs are just a bit over the top from what I've seen so far

Can't walk away from this at the petrol station without looking back... The woman at the tills laughed at me for it but I do love this car!

So she got a quick clean, even though it's deep mist today and I'm away for the weekend anyway...:

But I guess I am seeing this as a more and more feasible replacement

Targa top, RWD, hugely impractical, enormously wide alloys, two seats, extremely noisy, 50/50 weight distribution, pop-up lights... Perfect? I'd have mine with the C6 shape wheels shown in chrome on that black car above. Not dissimilar from the Advan M5s on the Beams! Actually, that car is basically how I'd style one... http://s168.photobucket.com/user/vetteb ... rary/C6Z06?

Only issue is where to put the number plate :D

I love vette noises. I just do. I know they're not true racin thoroughbred super cars but god damn they sound special!! Look for ones with borla exhausts ;)

I've been teaching my girlfriend how to drive and imaging life as a LHD daily driver.

Haha, I have actually done exactly that! Not a daily for me but imagining life on the wrong side of the car.

One thing which sticks in my mind is how the guys on the Le Mans trip with no passenger struggled to overtake, as there's no way of seeing past. Worth considering, depending how much single carriageway overtaking you do or plan to do.

I have driven a few LHD and I really don't like it at all... It would ruin it all
For me... But then again I do like a nice Vette.

Hmmm.... V8 roar is lovely too...

Oh dear.. Got me in a dilemma and its nothing to do with me haha

So long as the road isn't bullet straight, an inside line view combined with a 300-400 torques car would make it mince. Plus, you can always pull back in! I've heard you can get overtaking aid mirrors if you need them.

Definitely. I have an import 944 I can try diving LHD with initially. I wouldn't want to willy up test driving another man's vette.

Then I may make a day of it and go to one of the two approved vette dealers in the UK, in hopes that they might have a C5 I could try.

I will be waiting for the right car though. I think it has to be my first black car. I'd accept red too though. There was a manual yellow convertible came up recently which I had to remind myself was even more ridiculous

Might be a while then, as I wouldn't imagine they appear for sale up there that often? Although it could be one hell of a road trip if you do have to go darrn sarf to collect one :D

Oh I imagine I will have to yeah. They're not exactly common in the UK! And it's worth getting the one you want.

What's your criteria? £12k tops, targa and black or red? I'll keep it in mind while I browse for potentials for M4

That sounds about right yes. Money is a little flexible. Dealer/private not an issue. I don't know if I'd have a convertible...

This is basically the right car:

Or this one actually. Maybe I could do yellow. I love the red with black roof combos but not sure if I'd tire of that.

 hmmm ZR-1 replica...?!

I wonder if a Rotrex c30 would even be able to breathe as much as a V8 inhales though!

I'm sure it would need to be twin Rotrex C38s 8)

The lack of a price is making it even more tempting to me. That is a stunning car, in my opinion =P~
