Re: Project MRX350
I would drop the oil out after it's first few warm up cycles, just to flush out any contaminants, then again after a few hundred miles. After that just regular service interval changes.
Re: Project MRX350
This is mad! Genuinely MAD! When i first heard about the mk1.5 i was in aww at its brilliance but THIS is mental! especially the mpg!! Never get that from a 3sgte! You do truly amazing work! An inspiration!

Re: Project MRX350
The car today at 1:50pm just before its test...
An hour later...
Not even a single advisory, she's road legal after nearly a 2 year build, really happy
I've started with the finishing touches now, in hommage to the Mk2 turbo way of declaring its engine status i've gone for the same theme in the same place using Toyotas font, this is the only external clue that all is not normal in the engine bay!
Just little tweaks to make to the car now before JAE, it drives totally effortlessly on the road, so much torque that you can just dial on in waves, it's stupidly quick.
For now that is the project completed, i'm going to enjoy her over the coming months, then during the winter it will be getting its big brake upgrade and coilover suspension upgrade, i will also be powder coating the full suspension/polybushing as well, this car is running on brand new Toyota OEM gear so it's all pretty tight right now.
Thankyou for reading

I will come and find you and this at JAE - I've been to the two brutal stand many times in the past with BSM and Jiff, but never been introduced!
Congrats on the pass!

Re: Project MRX350
Congrats Paul
I should imagine the tester was somewhat awestruck by that little machine
Is the car very expensive to insure ?

I had a result today when I was reassured that my speedo not working wouldn't be an mot failure so i get to look forward to fitting that b1tch when it's done!
Re: Project MRX350
What a fantastic machine; such a great combination of retro OEM touches, applied to subtle yet heroic custom craziness!
Could well be worth going to JAE to take a closer look
