Cant go wrong with advans, i've got a set of RG's I had powdercoated in gold as the white finish was flaking off.



Also got a set of Rays Mazdaspeed 17s that need a bit of work doing to em.

I wouldn't say there are any negative effects on handling. As for positives, i'm not sure. I love the way it drives though, on standard suspension bar a set of hks lowering springs.

I had 8.5j Bridgestone AE034's on previously ET36 all round but with 20mm front spacers / 25mm rear spacers.

I didn't put them there myself but whoever decided it was a good idea should never be allowed to modify cars again lol

I'm inclined to say are you on Coilovers?

The widest you can go on a MR2 comfortably is 8J front and a fair bit wider on the rears if you wanted.
If you're on coilies you'll greatly reduce the amount of clearance which is when you start running into problems

What you can do is use spacers (Around 5mm I'd imagine tops) although you may then have issues with the studs but you can get around this by buying longer ones instead

I'm imagining you SHOULD be ok with those as the offsets are in the 30's not the 40's so you shouldn't have any issues

However I'd sure there's a fair few members on here who run Lenso D1R's which are also 8/9J Stagger who will likely be able to give you an answer from experience
