Lambda question

Post by wil3046 »

Sorry to annoy you all with another question but I'm getting my £7.50 worth! :thumleft:

Anyway as some of you know I been having trouble with my emissions. Cleaned all the throttle body, icv, new throttle position sensor. It now idles perfect but still has lack of power.

I have decided it has to be the lambda so I struggled but unplugged it and took the car back out. It runs exactly the same if not a touch better than when the lambda is plugged in! Surely that means its bu88ered? I have another ready to fit!

Sorry again but I'm a chef not a mechanic :) just trying to learn as much as poss

Hi,

The Lambda only really operates at cruise, which MR2 do you have?

There are a few tests to check the Lambda but if its lacking power it will most likely be something else.

I asked you back in middle of May in your previous thread what your emissions figures were.

You STILL haven't given us them. Let's see the figures and we might be able to stop you guessing what the problem is.

I can't find the papers for the emissions test or I would have posted them up by now

Which makes it a tiny weeny bit tricky to diagnose the problem!
