It's not, but out of interest, what do you think it's worth?

Bearing in mind, it's a 1999 Rev5 GTS turbo, mint with 56K miles on the clock.

Easily changed though. Still a nicely priced, rev5 turbo with some nice bits, not to mention full genuine Tom's kit and rev6 headlights.

I agree its overpriced for the market. There's nicer than that around for thousands cheaper and they aren't selling. It doesn't look that "immaculate" in the photos either. Fortunately the crappers out there are rotting and being broken/scrapped at a pretty fast rate meaning in a few years time the MR2 prices should stop falling and hopefully rising.

I think he would struggle to sell that for 4k! Whats happened to the rev5 steering wheel too? You can pickup nice UK Rev5 NA for peanuts now (seen them go for about 1k on ebay) and stick in a decent rev3+ tubby transplant for way way cheaper.

What do you mean? That's a genuine rev5 turbo steering wheel fitted.

My mistake then. It looks like a rev 2/3 to me. Don't rev5 have airbags?

It's got a rev5 stitched air bag steering wheel and passenger air bag dash.

It's a genuine rev5 turbo.

Rev5

Imported via GTS Chris (numberplate), around 2002 this car would be forsale for around £15,000 in UK.
New price of UK n/a MR2 1999 was approx £23,000, had the Turbo been officially offered for sale in the UK at that time would have been approx £30,000.

Rev5 tubby for sure, although the seats have been changed...? My GT has the usual alcantera seats and door cards but with red showing in the perforations instead of blue....

Best buying something like this and sticking a turbo engine in it.

You'll save thousands! It's also a t-bar

Yeah, they look like the leather covers you can buy. As a potential buyer i'd rather see the car the way its was with a good clean and polish. Seeing the wear on seats gives a good idea on the life the car has had.

New tarty covers, well, who knows. With a car of those miles I guess the bolster could be worn but thats not an expensive fix.

Not really the same as owning a genuine Rev5 GTS though....

+ the hard top won't leak.

Not my car but I know about it as I've seen it in person.

Imported by gtschris in circa 2008. Had cloth seats originally. New leather bespoke retrim. Much better looking in real life.

Obviiusly I don't know about it's life in Japan but it does have this small yellow owners book. Could be really cool getting that looked over by a Japanese speaker.

I don't know any other way one could piece together the Japanese life of the car without that info.
