Hi all,

The time has come to part with my two. The reason for the sale is because I am moving house and losing the garage and I dont want to keep this car outside.

I bought the car approximately two and a half years ago and it has never failed to start or broken down. I have used it regularly but have not done many miles during my ownership. It has done one Le Mans trip where it rained a bit but otherwise it has been stored in the dry.

Price £1650 hopefully this is priced both fairly and to sell!

Modifications - a few suble ones

• Blue Flame exhaust (lovely tone and shiny but not too loud). I bent the heat shield thing out of the way to make it look more awesome.
  Stainless Speedo Insert
  Red Dash Leds
  Hidden Switch on the fuel pump so the car is pretty much unstealable unless you find it or carry it away. I promise to show you where it is if you buy it.
  Smoked Side Repeaters
  K & N Cone filter
  DIY blacked out rear quarters
  Lenso LS5 Wheels (with locking wheel nuts and key) & Toyo Proxes with plenty of tread left (they have probably done around 3000 miles). I dont know much about wheels apart from the fact they are sexy.
  one of the wheels is very slightly kerbed caused by making room for am ambulance so I hope i saved a life.
  Sony Xplode radio thing with a remote control in case your belly gets in the way of reaching the volume knob.

The internal clock died so i fitted a Novus Delta GPS thingamy. This acts as a clock, GPS speedo and safe driving gadgety thingy (speed cameras, dangerous junctions etc). Even though the woman's voice is sexy and she reminds you to put your seat belt on, sometimes this is annoyoning (normally when you have a passenger) so i put an on/off switch in the cigarette lighter switch so this car has no cigarette lighter socket but you could put this back if you wanted.

Mechanicals

Bog Standard and fully functioning

Has had 3 problems during my ownership

1 seized rear caliper - replaced by me
Dead battery - replaced by me
Failed MOT on emissions caused by a dead CAT - replaced by me and MOT passed

Condition

I would say it's pretty awesome considering the age of the car, with some blemishes.

1 Driver side bolster - worn but not as bad as some, still looks pretty good.
2 Small Scratch and rust patch on passenger side door
3 tiny rust patch on corner of DS T bar
4 few scratches on rear spoiler (dont put a cycle carrier on an MR2!)
5 stone chips on bumper

Overall i dont believe these defects detract from the overall stunningness of the car, I am just being honest.

T Bar Leak Status

I dont keep this car outside or drive it in the rain so I genuinely dont know. However, last year I did notice some drips on the driver side which I rememdied with the cling film method. if it does leak then it wont be much and you can repeat the cling film method if you wish. the seals all appear to be in nice condition.

Due to the stupid law of continous insurance the car is currently SORN

MOT Expiry November 2013

Paperwork

V5, Mot, Handbook, wedge of receipts (from previous owners), service history booklet.

Service History Stamps stop around 81 000 miles.

Hi sloopeh,

Does the actual speedo work or is it just the clock that died?

Also you say the service history stops at 80ish. When was it last serviced? How has it been serviced since?

hello Ryan,

the speedo works fine it was the lcd clock that tells the time which has been replaced. so you get analogue speedo and gps speedo. as a bonus i found the USB cable for the delta so you can do a map update if you wish (free from their website)

i cant vouch for stamped history between it finishing and when i bought it - there are a lot of receipts which i have never read through.

in my ownership I have done plugs, leads, oil changes and replaced the air filter with a cone one which was recently cleaned. I believe i have done the oil filter at least once but cant remember.
