fail on emissions

Hi guys ive got a 1993 2.0 16v t bar is my car excluded from the cat test ?

Import, yes. UK car, no.

thought if car was registered before aug 95 it didnt need cat test??
banging head off wall trying to get it to pass emissions

If it's an import.

UK cars date is Aug. 1992.

If the car is operating correctly, it will easily pass the emissions test.

What emissions issue do you have? Post up your test results.

will have to post up tomoz car at mates with paperwork :mad:
they mentioned possible hole in back box think thats the prob o2 and lambda sensors seem fine, can I repair back box? Finding it really hard to find a back box for 1993

You only have one sensor in the exhaust, Known as an O2 sensor, aka as a lambda sensor.

Hole in back box could cause test results to fail. TBH, if the hole is big enough to affect the emissions test, the car should fail on the exhaust system.
You still haven't said whether the car is UK or an import.

Post up gas test figures and let's have a look.

Duh! lol of course, soz still learning my way around car :lol:

Cool will post figures first thing tomoz when get car from mate, thanks really need help before I waste anymore cash on failed MOTs

Good, used condition. Came off a 1999 UK car.
