I'm just about to tackle fitting TOM's kit to mine. Genuine skirts so they shouldn't be a problem... Fake front bumper could be trouble though!
To be honest the front bumper was quite easy to do, 2 small cuts behind the sidelights and a bit of filler work and all went well

Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
After doing a little bit of swapping parts over from the tubby to the n/a,Mainly the seats, I keep looking at the tubby and the thoughts of turning it back to stock keep cropping up in my head,
Now the big question is do i or don't i,
Answers on a post card would be great

Keep it stock buddy .....its a clean car and a good base to start from.
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
I think stock is the way to go mate

Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
After swapping a few bits out of the tubby i decided the cream interior would look better in the n/a and hey presto the transformation was excellent
The tubby now looks stock with the standard interior, Itching to get the engine out and stripped down now.

You can never have 2 many 2's
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
After deciding to take the skirts of the n/a at the weekend to strip them right back to get a good finish on the paint i came across an unwelcome visitor to the car
So after a couple of nights of thinking the best way around this ive come to the conclusion of turning the tubby into a lot nicer car than i was planning on doing, The n/a now looks a little worse for ware
Atleast theirs a light at the end of the tunnel

Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
Take it the sills on the turbo are spot on?
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
Oh yes it had about £500 odd pounds spent on them by the previous owner, So thought ide rather put the cash into the tubby rather than the n/a, But atleast i can stock pile some useful spares of the n/a
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
Sounds like a plan!
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
Its a shame buddy but atleast you can make some money for the tubby by breaking the n/a .....ill buy a few bits off you .
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
No probs mate, Had a change of heart on the bodykit ime going to keep it stored away in my workshop, i think ide regret selling it, Going to spend some time on the bumpers and skirts and get them painted and polished so there super shiny.
Re: Toms kit (now rev2 tubby)
Well the end is nigh for the n/a, After pottering around the n/a for the past week or so the poor old car now looks a little different to how it did
After getting the interior looking quite smart in the old girl things now look worse for wear
But atleast alot of the parts will be in the tubby
More pictures and updates to come i feel
