Hi Guys,
Going to a view a car this weekend. Made a list of what to check but can someone please remind me what tools i need to remove the spark plugs (i remember them being a funny size) and what the test compression results should be; is it around 170psi?
Finally, how much 'play' should there be in the turbo shaft? Should it not move at all? Or is there an acceptable tolerance of a few milimeters or something? Given the minimal distance between the end of the turbine fins and the turbo housing i imagine it shouldnt really move at all?
Thanks
Craig

Spark plug size is the same size as the wheel nuts which is 5/8"/16mm hex.
There should not be much play in the turbo shaft really, maybe about 0.5mm.
Compression should be around 175psi.
Hope the car's a good one

Good luck with it. For someone like me who never had a car like this i was unsure what to look for.
