Rev 4 NA Exhausts

Post by sbk1972 »

Hi all,

My exhaust has seen better days so I'm working out what options I have. It's an NA but I do like the bigger turbo exhausts but am not sure what parts I need to fit this to an NA.

Also, I would prefer to keep it nice and quiet, so want the look of a turbo exhaust but with not much noise.

Do turbo exhausts fit NAs ?

Obviously if anyone has an exhaust, for an NA, or turbo that would fit, let me know.

You'd need to have a custom pipe made up to connect the two. With turbo's acting as a silencer you'd find that putting a turbo exhaust on an n/a would make the exhaust extremely loud. So, my advice would be to have a custom pipe made with a silencer in it. However, i'm not too sure where you'd stand performance wise with back pressure and such :thumleft:

Larger exhaust and low volume don't usually go hand in hand

It sounds like you may be after a custom exhaust really, if you're pretty much just after a nicer looking back box - because as mentioned above the turbo exhaust will be LOUD

hi all,

Madbasshunter, how loud is that exhaust ?? Looking at the pics, it comes with a cat ?? Easy to install ??

I like the look of a turbo exhaust but my days of loud exhausts ( I had a facelift Mkiv supra Nur spec back in the day ) over are :-) I like silience / little noise at crusing speeds and not that drone.

I think I will first take a look, see where my exhaust is blowing and go from there.

I do like this exhaust, but I live in Sussex, so collecting it will be hard.

I have a JanSpeed on my car, and its a nice balance between loud and sensible. If you go easy on it, its barely louder than stock, and its unintrusive on the motorway at 70-80MPH. If you give it the beans, it sounds great!
