Post by skipp123 »

Just locked my keys in the boot of my mr2 the cabin is locked and well im pretty screwed, iv got a mate coming round with a lock out kit but he rekons it probably wont work...

is there any other way of getting in it ie shorting lights to pop the central locking {megan style}

can i get in to the boot via under the rear of the car?

any other sugestions before i smash the rear 1/4???

the cable that opens the boot runs through the engine bay. if you can track that down you could strip back the outer and pull the cable. i cant remember if it runs down the left or right. i think its the right (drivers side) so it shouldnt be too hard to get to or find.

will be in the corner on top of the chassis rail that the intercooler sits on. but also again further back near the alternator.. maybe more room there.

not really any way into the boot without doing damage... unless you can get the engine bay open.

if you can get the engine bay open then you could pull the ecu loom back out of the boot wall a bit and pull back the ruber gator, then get a coat hanger or extendable magnet wand and reach into the boot area and grab the keys that way.
the engine bay catch is hard to get to from the underside though.

Hi all, old post I know but I'm hoping someone can PM me.
My battery died while away this week and I am completely locked out of my car. Can anyone recommend a way for me to get into my car to put a new battery in.
Cheers all
