Rear Lights ?

Im new to this mr2 caper :?

Wanting some new lights for the rear

The lexus style rear lights are a direct bolt in replacement for Toyota's later specification revision 3 units. They can be made to fit to earlier (pre '94) mk2 MR2's with the addition of a suitable centre panel, but the OEM centre panel with reverse lights retails for in excess of £200! The centre panel from the Revision6 rear light kit is a good match, but does not have provision for a reverse light:

a 1991 is definitely a rev1

nope, to fit my lights to the rev1, the person i paid had to bash the panel behind the centre panel back so that the centre panel would sit flush. and then had to do something with the wires to set up the fogs properly, that was it really :)

The Lexus lights will fit the Rev1 and 2 but you will need either a rev3 on center panel which has the integrated reverse lights, or a blank panel, and then fit a universal reverse light which usually goes being the grill between the two exhausts. Fitting the lights them selves is easy as pie :D
