I only ask as my rev 2 has the L2, and it dosnt fit right in the battery box, the top clamp is approx an inch or 2 above the battery![]()

when I bought my first mr2 from hastings on the way home the battery light flashed on a few times round corners, the next day I took it out went round a corner and there was a bang and the engine died, basically the old owners had gone to halfrauds and an 063 battery IIRC had been fitted which meant the clamp didn't hold it in place.
The battery had moved and the positive terminal clamp was stuck to the battery clamp and the earth wire had popped like a fuse.
I was lucky that a new battery and earth cable was all I needed.
