Back in a MR2 - nearly - Rev 3 n/a

Post by foxy-stoat »

Since selling my second V6 over a year ago and being MR2less for the first time in over 10 years, I picked up a winter project the other week:

It only has 43,600 miles from new, can't see any rust on it at all and its a UK one.

Needs a new clutch, brakes refurbishing and general detailing to be 100%

Not sure about the white plastic inside, so that may come out for standard bits, but it does break up the normal sea of black.

Oh yeah, shame this isn't a turbo but may sell this in the summer and find a turbo. The prices seem to of dropped quite a bit in recent years.

It really looks really white in the flesh, like the fresh new white Audi's and its the lightest colour!

Looks nice mate, whip the seat belt cover trims off, remove the sponge from the inner sills and get some Waxoyl/POR/Hammerite down there, as the sills rust from inside out.

Welcome back, she looks nice. Just stick a 3SGTE in it in summer. Then you don't lose the project progress up to that point :thumleft:

Will do....the thing is so original it still has the meaningless triangle rubber thingy on the rear cross member !!!

I'd rather buy another one to modify than this one, shame its not a t-bar or it would of been a keeper.

Pretty sure there were some slight changes to late Rev 3s, including the 3rd brake light and the switches for the fog lights (mine are rocker type like a Rev 2 but later Rev 3's are 'push in / out' type.

Mine no 3rd brake light 06/1995.

for lights on my rev3 are the same as on my rev2, think it depends on the spec, the steerable fog lights are on a rocker type switch i believe, could be wrong though

Yes your right Shep, the JDM steering fogs have 3 positions, mine are the same as your Rev 2 as well, but i test drove an Anniversary N Plate and that had the push in / out like a Rev 4 :)
