I'm lazy - Mx5 - Mk1 wheel fitment

Post by Charged »

Hi,

I'm looking at some banded steelies, they're currently on a Mk1 MX5.

Are they straight fit for my Mk1?

If so, my only worry is whether they clear by brakes!

Cheers

Ollie

You could try one on. I would say no give the wheels to me because I want them for my mk1 lol. I've never had any problems with alloys off a mx5 on my mk1 the only trouble i've had is when I get a nice set of wheels on mine they end up on my daughters MX5 because she always goes daaad like my bbs rm replicas she seems to have kidnapped

I always thought they were ollie, They are 4x100 with the same centre bore, will just have to check the offset but that can be corrected with spacers! Ive got a set of rays off an N/a mx-5 which fit fine.

Should fit fine, offset on the MX5's are much less then MR2's, so will stick out futher from the hubs. Best bet to guarantee is if you can get the offset then compare it to MR2 offsets. But you should be good! :thumleft:

Banded steelies are so pimp. Does that mean the borbets are going Ollie?

Banded steels possibly for my tintop mate. No plan to sell the borbets at the moment.

Good. The borbets look class! Banded steels will look good too, just expensive to get done.
