Hi Guys, Just a quick one. I'm after some inspiration for a new number plate. Not sure whether to keep my stock JDM plate and holder or to remove completely or to have a vinyl made up for it or something completely different. So if you could, i would massively appreciate it, if you could show me yours.
Cheers

Cheers KarlBristol, have you found it mounting it there to have any effect on cooling?

Nope, none at all even when the car is driven very very hard
If you look carefully the number plate is smaller than standard, (although still only just legal). So this helps to not block the radiator.
Bear in mind that I have a 3sfe bumper which doesn't has bumper fog lights. So I still have plenty of air getting to the radiator.
I've seen other people do this as well on 3sge cars (with bumper fogs) and they never had any issues
Gives it a nice front appearance IMHO and allows it to look more streamlined

Only time i've been quizzed was in my works carpark by a traffic cop (off duty) who asked if i'd ever been pulled for it. I said no, he said why is it so small, I said after market charge cooler and rad up front to run more boost and the shorter plate means more air hitting the rad. He said that doesn't make it legal. I said to be fair at least it has some form of front facing identification as I got done by a front facing speed camera and that could make out the reg fine and if i'd done the same think on my bike with no plate and tinted visor would I have got anything in the post and would you stop me for it. He said your lucky i'm not from round here.

Standard Jap holder and the plate is a 12"x3"
A wee bit bigger would have been nicer to sit in and cover the whole black holder ..... yes, I am that anal and it annoys me that it doesn't

I'm exactly like that. Needs to be done right, or there's no point doing it at all. Cheers for the info
