Skinny and 18x10 is not something you'd usually see in the same sentence!

then you end up feeling cheated after following it for so long, and ask the question somwhere down the line what ever happened to this one?

Whatever happened to this one??

Re: Gavs 500hp++ mr2 nicknamed 'The beast'
erm, the short version is.
.
mapped it to 550bhp on 1.5bar using road fuel,
had bought a clutch which i had specifically told a
'specialist' should be good for 800+bhp they neglected to tell me the brand of clutch until i had recieved it
(they had said a certain norweigen castrol celica running a 71mm turbo had been using it for a while and
'loved it')
the clutch slipped and when i had a look at part numbers and contacted the manufacturer for there catalogue i found it was considerably under specced.
on tear down i found further issues with the kit which had been designed between them and the specialist.
i contacted both and was waiting for the whole thing to be sorted out.
.
.until i basically tore my engine apart again as i had decided i was going to redesign certain aspects of the head and bottom end.

the on going saga with the cluch is still unresolved although i have now specced wiith the manufacturer a triple plate clutch which they rate at a
whopping
1180ftlbs of torque, dont think that will be slipping!

Re: Gavs 500hp++ mr2 nicknamed 'The beast'
Haha, the main thing is it has not fizzled out the car is in my garage, and i did actually attend JAE in it last year fully functioning
(although the clutch was slipping)
