Yeah I know what you mean mate.

I haven't done the job myself, but maybe jacking up the car and taking off the wheel will help?

Just a suggestion, I'm sure someone else can confirm which is the best way around it.

undo the submount bolts and Pull the submount down, make sure its jacked up correctly ofcause , undo the bolts to the alternator and squeeze the fooker out.... toyota made the mr2 as if parts would never have to be replaced im sure of it


Thats the way i did it, didnt come out the top or anything


oh yer and took me a few hrs of swearing, bashing and totaly
temperment
