Brake upgrade query

Post by Gad »

Fairly simple one, are the later spec front brakes a straight swap or will I need to change anything else?
Obviously I'll need new discs but do they mount the same as the early ones?
Found a website where the later spec brakes end up twenty quid a corner cheaper than the early ones so might as well go for the upgrade... :)

Yes, but you need the caliper mount as well.

..... and the 1a dust shields will need to be removed/replaced as they wont fit over the 1b discs.

To be fair you can just lose the dust shields.

Yeah about 40 grams a side less whatever rust they've suffered!

You, Peter are completely mental about weight saving!
