Not a bad replica....

Post by Kieron »

Although I'm not really into the Ferrari copies, this one ain't too bad looking.....

The "extreme" kit looks better though....

Great website for comparison with real 355....

Why do people insist doing that to kit to normally aspirated Mr2's ??

If your going to do it, it needs to be the turbocharged model - saying that, dependant on how well the kits been put on, you might find half of it down the road when you peak top end speeds of the turbo !

Wheres Aaron when you need him.....

I mean how many turbo charged engines did ferrari do....

Anyway, suppose a ferrari would look crap in Gay Mica Blue......

That question made me laugh as well.

Regarding the kit I am not a huge fan of Ferrari replicas but judging by the pictures it doesn’t seem to be that bad. Saying that there are no pictures of the rear so that could spoil the whole car. Just my 2p

Well as I said when I made the post - it ain't bad. Not my taste though, would feel a bit of a muppet when you get caught out by somebody "in the know".

The "Extreme" kit on the 355kits site looks well. About the closest I have seen (still too tall though.....)

It looks ok! but why do it?
I admit i prefer a mk1 but everyone to there own taste!
I would feel a right prat if someone thought i had a 355 and then they blow me away!!
I know the tubby's could give it a bit of a go if it was a real 355 but on an na, KNOW WAY!!!!!
Don't do it!!
Not worth the embarrassement!!!

That is a decent looking replica, but cant understand why people bother doing them.

I certainly wouldnt pay 15K+ for an MR2 with essentially a ferrarri bodykit. You could get a TRD bodykit and some mods for that, and make a much tastier car. You also wouldnt be a sad wannabe with that route.

But why ????????????????????????

I'd rather still retain the toyota badges... looks crap calling it as a replica, but as a badged up toyota... I'd give it credit where due.... ! Making it look like something its not is just silly !!

suppose a ferrari would look crap in Gay Mica Blue

How would you know ?? Have you seen a ferrari before :?: I thought people just steel cars from your way !!

Hmm, the MR2 is a superb car in its own right, some sorted kits out there like Bomex, Veilside, Tom's, the ferrari replica kits not my bag either.

But each to their own.

i like the natural shape of the MR2 too.. drop it on its ar$e and i think it looks the nuts!

but the F355 is a cool car 8) its real low and wide/chunky
