Back after a spell away (heavy thread)

Post by Demon A »

Hello all,

It's hard to believe but I was actually on this site 3 years ago at the age of 19. I signed up to find a turbo and bought a black Rev 2 turbo off a user named Gersen. I would post the thread but apparently I am not allowed! Although it is easily findable if you search for threads by that author.

It was my second turbo, after the first one I bought (a red Rev 2) suffered head gasket failure on the way home (back to the garage it went).

To cut a long story short, my best mate (posted in that thread) is sadly no longer with us after an RTA in his 2, which prompted me to get rid of mine within a couple of weeks. I have seen it posted in the members gallery on here belonging to a user named stevecruiz, but am unsure if it's still around.

After spending 3 fun and reiliable (but also irritating and awfully clicky) years in the Civic scene, I've decided to come back, as it's an itch I just cannot scratch. As you can imagine this has not been an easy decision. I also apologise if this has come across as a sob story. It's not meant to be just a bit of background!

So hello, I will lurk the tech and for sale sections to get clued up and look to buy a Rev 3 shortly, and hopefully contribute good stuff to the forum.

Hiya Alex & welcome back. 8)

Good luck with the hunt for a fresh 2. :thumleft:

There she is:

You'll need 15 posts before the forum will allow links to be posted, sucks somewhat but after a mass of spam it had to be done. :(

Thanks mate. That's the one indeed!

There are so many dogs around I always think an oc is the best place to start looking!
