main engine fan running on constantly?? lots of spare connectors doing nothing in engine bay??

Are these problems you're having or are you asking if our cars are like this? The post is a bit vague.. kinda.
If it's your car and you're wondering why I believe the fan is controlled by a relay.. some choose to let it run constantly for more cooling... or to hide a problem. Is the car new to you? I notice this is your second post.
Can't help with connectors but if all is working are they an issue?

yeh sorry just had the car, wasnt sure if the fans are suppose to keeo running on everything seems ok! as for connectors yeh was just a bit concerned as there a few but the car runs fine so guess they not a prob. .the only thing i found wrong was one of the gearbox seals is leaking any ideas where i can get one cheaper than main dealer have checked ebay but no joy??

If the engine bay temp sensor is unplugged, your engine bay fan will run all the time.

the engine bay temp sensor is on the underside of the engine lid, black pointy thing, make sure you have it connected up otherwise as dazzz says the fan will run constantly.
