Car wont start after 7 months sitting! :(

Hi all, i own a 90 rev 1 turbo whi h was my pride and joy up until the year before last when the clutch statyed to go and the bad weather came.
I parked it up but started it and moved it regularly, time and funds where tight so ran around in my 2nd car.

I started it around 7 months ago and fine.. Bought a new battery for it the other day as i want to get it sorted. Tried to start it but nothing? All dash lights are on fine but dosent even atempt to turn.

What can i start to check? I checked the earths etc to the started but nothing. Just hope i dont habr a seized motor.

CAn you hear a clicking when you turn the key? Any noises from the starter motor?

I was in the car and j coukdnt but my dad was out and said it was, he even tapped it with a piece of wood just incase.

Sort of a blowing noise from in the car?.. :S

sticky starter motor...does it click? check oil levels first...take the plugs out and crank the engine over...reduce resistance, gently pump the clutch a few times incase the plates are stuck together...just done this to my mates rs2000...after 5 years...lol...the petrol had turned to varnish, but it fired and ran after a while...albeit very lumpy.
Does your have a imobiliser?

As above i heard a sort of whirring noise in the car but my dad said it was clicking.

Ive checked oil and topped it up so thats fine.
Ill remove the plugs and give that a go, see what happens.

Oh and no it dosent have an immobiliser :S

if the starter is clicking...there is the prob...the arm is stuck in the "in"position and not coming out to engage the flywheel...tap the starter with a hammer, semi sharp...no point hitting it with a feather...but obv don't need to mash it in...patience and persisitance matey

Thanks pal, ill give it another go. Would be a shame to just let it sit! Its a gorgeous car! Grrr! It definately has a mind of its own though! Lol

important to pump the clutch a bit first...but also can pop it into gear and just rock back and forth...sometimes helps.

I tried rocking it back and forth but guess what? The brakes are stuck on lmao! Beauty! Ill let you know how i get on
