How much for a standard air filter????? - TOO MUCH!

Hi guys,

Do any of you know where you can buy replacement standard air filters for a n/a mk2?

Brought one from Halfords yesterday for £19.99. You can see all the other models on the shelf, they are all priced around £5 - £10. How can they charge so much for an MR2 air filter. In size it seems about average to others that were on the shelf, yet they still charge you sometimes more than double this compared to the other filters on the shelf!

How can they justify charging this much? Im confused

Suppose its cause because its for a Japanese car?

Probably because they know how much MrT charges.

Stick a K&N in then you only have to buy it once as they are cleanable

Local motor factors was £8, and a fiver for oil filter, good brand aswell

I will probably get one from there next time!

Just looked on that above website, and the actual air filter works out at £15.07. Thats the price including VAT and delivery. Still a small saving on the £19.99 i suppose!!
