Hks Exhausts

Post by ADRIAN-S »

Quick question, Do all HKS exhausts have "HKS" stamped on them?
The reason is I have what was sold to me as a HKS Turbo exhaust, but theres no stamp on it other than a jasma one, which has the letters "SR" on it.
I will try to get a pic up later.

I had an HKS turbo exhaust also, and that had no markings on it.

That sounds alright then.
I bought it a while back, but the bracket needed welding back on, which I had done. I now dont have a mr2, so was going to sell the exhaust, but dont want to rip people off by selling something that is not right.
Comparing the pictures it is identical to the HKS High Power, except this has the centre box cut out to improve the flow.

Jasma stamp means its a genuine exhaust doesn't it?

Nope, jasma stamp means the exhaust complies with Japanese noise regulations.

Both HKS exhausts I've had quite clearly had HKS, and Silent Hi Power marked on the back box :thumleft:

Where abouts on the back box is it stamped, a pic would be helpful. I have compared mine when it was on the car to someone else's and it looked identical.

Thanks for the pics, mine has the jasma stamp underneath, with even the same numbers on. My back box looks the same, with the same tip but without the HKS stamp. I'm wondering if some just did not get stamped.

Me too!

The HKS is engraved/stamped Silent Hi Power on the tip.

My old 2 had the mild steel HKS and that too had HKS on..

Mine only has the Jasma stamp, nothing else. Well, not that I've spotted.
