New kid on the block

Post by The Tron »

Hi guys
im new to the forum not so new to cars been on a few other forums for a while now but ended up buying a uk model N/A MK2 from a guy on retrorides who pointed me in the direction of you lot.
im away on tour at the minute so the car was a bit of an impulse buy, cant upload pictures from out here but hopefully peter can log on and stick a few up as i think hes still a member from when he owned the car and a few before it, plans have already started as i have bought myself an aero front splitter (bit like the greddy lip) a turbo rear spoiler as i like the lines better and im on the hunt for some wheels in 17" as we speak, will probably be getting some lowering springs a decent stainless system and a few other treats as and when i find them.
thats it for now updates will come as i get parts bought and when i can uploads pictures on RnR in june.
cheers steve

Welcome, look forward to pics and specs.

Spoiler were the same on the same rev car whether turbo or na as far as I know so intrigued to find out what you have, enjoy...

Yeah I'm a bit confused too!

This is the car (albeit last year)

3SFE had no spoiler as standard.

2 plastic brackets he mentions sounds like the 2 plastic brackets from the 3 piece rev 1/2 spoiler.

Are you fitting a rev 1/2 spoiler to your rev 3? :-k

Figured the car already had a spoiler as it read that way, seems it's a rev3 though so can't be and FE, we wait to find out...

as peter says the car has a standard spoiler but the one i prefer is the three piece, i like the lines and the fact the sides flow more towards the rear pillars, i was lucky with the new one as its in the exact same colour so hopefully a bit of a t cut and it should blend in fairly well, just need to decide what colour i want the aero lip doing in now and what lowering springs to use.

I have a rev 1/2 spoiler on my rev 3 too. Don't much like the rev 3/4 spoiler myself.
