However, I you can't stretch to the ferodo pads, go toyota

Where are you getting the ds2500s from? because everywhere ive looked they dont seem to sell them for the rear. Edit: hell I cant find a set for the fronts either, just the mki and the mkiii

Really? To be fair, I haven't started looking yet as I have at least a year or 2 left on my carbotechs (never use the car).

Another option is carbonlorraine (spelling??) I'm sure they are good and a similar compound to the carbotechs, but cheaper....

I understood that Pagid pads are good but eat discs. Pretty much need changing at the same time...

OEM pads are around £40 for fronts, and £30 for rears.

We keep them in stock, as do MrT dealers.

I have been using Mintex pads for a few of my cars and find them pretty good.

Brake fluid is more important though to avoid brake fades !!

Update on this:

Carbon Lorraine only provide pads for the Rev1.

The pads for all revs are the same at the rear.

However, the rear also has an inner and an outer pad of different design, as I'm sure you know.

I ordered some rear pads but unfortunately they supplied me with 4 inner lads rather than 2 of each. After talking to them, they don't make the outs pad! Whaaaaaat? Crazy.

The distributer couldn't have been more helpful and gave me a refund and let me keep the pads.

After much more messing about it seems the only pads worth getting are carbotech again (but I cant stretch to that), oem or EBC Yellowstuff.

I have gone with Yellowstuff (much against my better judgement), they will arrive today so will post back the results in time.

Meanwhile, I have these carbon Lorraine pads. I have been told its unwise to
Mix and match on the same disc (ie CL on one side and A.N.Other pushing against it.) so....do they have a use? Would anyone else find a use for them?

Yes, I used them in my road car and now my son and I use them in our sprint race cars. They are the only make we will use.
I did try EBC once, disks and pads, what a load of crap, keep clear of anything made by EBC

Dust off the pads is not anything I think about, the wheels are black so may not show up but I do not remember it being a problem on my road car with the Porterfields
