Ok first of all i want to apologise to everyone for my "hijacking" of another thread a few days ago. It was wrong of me, and i'm sorry. I hope i haven't pi$$ed too many people of by doing that!
I was actually a member years ago but can't remember my log in or password it's been so long!

Anyway i'm now a (new) paid member and....

Time to sell my baby:

Toyota MR2 REV 5 1998 R reg, Black.
One of the last ones made.
2.0 litre 16v GTi engine.
UK non turbo version.

Approx 77,000 miles. HPI clear.
Taxed. Just been MOT'd and serviced this month. With extensive service history and documents.

Comes with a few sensible mods:

Staggered 17" black Rota alloy wheels with falken tyres (7.5" wide at front, 8.5" wide at rear)
Red brake calipers.
Good quality JVC CD player.
Turbo model engine lid.
Carbon fibre wrapped headlight covers.
TRD gear knob and custom owners club fitted mats.
No engine mods.

Usual spec:
Electric windows and mirrors, central locking, fog lights, power steering, sun roof, 2 keys, etc

This is a really rare find, well looked after - not the usual rubbish! Excellent condition exterior with spotless interior.

Engine runs like a dream, starts first time every time, has never let me down. No problems to report at all.

I've owned it for 4 years and never once had a single problem. Will be sad to let her go but new car forces sale.

dont be too surprised at thelack of interest, you are a new member thats only really signed up to sell a car, an a rev5 it may be but you are asking turbo money (albeit rev3 turbo money) these cars unless very cheap sometimes take time to sell, by constantly reducing the price you are appearing desperate then you add it might be going to a rip off company to sell it fast, they wont offer hardly anything, i once got a quote on a golf 4motion that was worth about £2500 market value if i was prepared to wait they offered £1400 and then would of chipped that down on the inspection they do and then take their fees off so i would of most likely walked away with about a grand.

I understand how it may look.
I'm trying not to appear desperate, but i currently have 2 cars, and only one garage which is why a quick sale would be great. I'd rather sell it to an mr2 enthuiast as it's my baby and i want it to go to a good home.
And was a member a few years ago but i had to re join when i lost my login name and password.

Nothing wrong with going in high and reducing if no interest. I think your problem is this is a mr2 site everyone already has mr2s. List it elseware mate.

the last post is not good advice, people will come to an mr2 site to buy cars as its an obvious place they will be sold, and just because most people on the site have them doesnt mean they either wont buy another or upgrade to this car as its a rev5, ive bought a couple off here including my current car, and even my 1st one.

As for the reductions, of course its wise to reduce if no interest but 4 £100 reductions in 5 days is OTT, if were in the market for this car, even if i thought the st price was ok if i saw these reductions everyday id wait to see if there were a few more, thats all i was saying.

I agree with advertising it elsewere though, but like anywhere it will be advertised amongst other mr2s even on ebay, ph, lesser mr2 sites , autotrader etc

plenty of cars sell here and just over the £2k mark is about right i think the seller just needs to be more patient and not expect the car to sell in an hour or 2, or he could reduce it to £1500 which is about what he'd get off webuyanycar.com then it would sell quick

Rule 1 when selling a car: wash it first (which you've done)
Rule 2, dry it...

...then take some photos.

Typically i choose the the week with the worst rainfall ever in which to sell my car, litterally i was waiting for a break in the showers to run out and take photos, so drying it was kinda difficult. I can assure you the paintwork is excellent.

This isn't me being desperate Jason, this is me being realistic and having a new baby to look after.
