[Mk2] [NA] rev5 n/a mongoose de-cat gasket?

Post by manda-rev5 »

hello wondering if someone can help me. When i brought my car it came with a mongoose exhaust, the guy gave me a decat to go with it. I would like to know what gaskets are required i have new standard gaskets but they look too small.

2 flange gaskets that match the flanges of your decat and Mongoose exhaust.

Measure distance between bolt holes, and then nip down to yuor local car spares shop.

Fire rings (aka crush rings) are normally Toyota OEM.

Flange gaskets are flat gaskets same size and shape as the flanges that bolt the parts of your exhaust together.

On a side note, don't forget you're gonna have to remove and refit stock cat for MOT.

I used to use two of the orange ones in this photo for the decat (before I got too old to keep having to swap it)...

And for the cat, one green & one orange :)
