& my hobby cars have to go to a good home.I have an F reg which only failed the last MOT a couple of months ago on a rear balljoint and a handbrake cable, and a G reg which I got for spares only.
The F reg has had a lot of attention over the past few years with the welding torch
& flew through the last two MOTs as far as rust was concerned. The G reg is probably pretty average as far as rust goes.Engine
& gearbox is fine on the F reg, no popout in 5th. I have heard the engine running on the G reg & it sounded basically ok, but I have no idea what state the gearbox is in.The F reg has a nice non-tatty blue trim, the G reg has a nice non-tatty black trim.
Apart from the 2 cars, I have a large pile of assorted Mk1 parts including a spare gearbox and rear sill panels ready for welding in, radio cassete, full exhaust, electrics etc.
The F reg
(which is closest to being on-the-road) needs minor to moderate fillering and light exterior-only welding (rear sill panels to be fitted and arches need tidying up)The F reg has the 1980's Toyota Mk1 cruise control computer fitted and working.
It's got 4 new tyres which have probably done less than 1000 miles, on original pepperpots which are not the worst but would probably benefit from a refurb.I am not asking a set or high price
- life has changed a lot over the last few years what with developing a missus and a little'un, these cars are just sat on the drive bering ignored and taking up space and they need to be looked after properly by someone who cares about preserving them and has the TIME! to do so.If you want them you'll need to transport them because both are off-the-road.
The G reg has no wheels but a set could be bolted on, the running gear's all there. The steering wheel is present but currently removed.If you search my username on this forum for the period 2-5 years ago you could probably dig up some history on the F reg.
Anyone interested in picking up where I'm leaving off? Cars are viewable in the Poulton-Le-Fylde area.
Make me an offer but bear in mind I don't want to hang on to them for ever and a day, the missus wants to plant beans in growbags and put kids trampolines and stuff where they're stood and I'm getting earache, so I'll be easily convinceable
In return for a very nice price I will need you to take BOTH cars AND the pile of spares rather than cherry pick.
