[Mk2] [Turbo] CT26 turbo unit advice?

I have recently picked up a used turbo off a fellow mr2 enthusiasts there is small amount of play in the shaft side to side but no in and out play. Also the shaft spins freely and smooth I am not sure if your suposed to do this but I filled up the oil gallery with fresh oil spun the shaft a few times so I left it in the for a while now oil has started leaking out of both sides of the shaft does this means the seals are no good or does the turbo rely on oil pressure or boost for the seals to work not really sure as I am new to turbos.

thats normall matey...it's not designed to be full of oil..I have done the exact same thing as you and got this response

oil inlet and the outlet I have spoken to a turbo builder they have said that this is normal as the oil is fed to the shaft and comes out by gravity turbos are not built to hold oil so I was told.
