Post by gaz700 »

hi there been on for a while but finnaly got myself a turbo, now the problem i have is the guy told me it had a twin plate clutch or something its quite difficult to pull away its either on or off,but when downchanging the gears if i dont double clutch and rev quite high the clutch kind of grabs/bites and makes a funny noise quite loud and is pretty jerky,is this normal or is it knackered so to speak?
any help appreciated

Ive got a twin plate fitted and they are rattly as hell,
like coffee beans in a tin,
its quite normal.
I havent driven mine far yet but im expecting it to be a bit grabby,
just a matter of getting used to it i spose.

just got to get used to it, they are easy to live with even on a daily driver, just practise, they can handle hard launches so don't be shy, they really are easy to use

yeah i have an Exeedy twin plate, it doesn't rattle too much when disengaged due to the design but can make a sort of low pitched buzz/grating noise on sharp down shifts, sounds like yours is the same.
i have had no problems with mine and the plates have loads of life left.
