M3 - dont like bmw
s2000 - fugly
boxter - money pit
rx7/8 - ugleeeeee

Damn your a hard man to please... LOL

Dont know about a boxter being a money pit, my mate has owned a late 90s boxter S for about 3 years, its got a 100k on the clock and all hes ever done is service it (at specialist not dealership).. Nothing has ever broken and he drives the nuts off it.. Compared to a MR2 turbo 8-[

RX7 Ugly??????

Best looking Jap motor ever made in my opinion

i just went through every pistonheads classified trying to find something which pleases the eye, right foot and wallet

so far it's save up for a GTR (might take a while), 350z or spend some dosh on the two ... but then that black rx7 does look amazing so back to pistonheads i go again........! :)

Just buy an MR2 Turbo and its job done, u can prob buy a pretty good one for the price of a conversion an if you take into account the sale price of your NA its a cost affective solution, plus you could transfer some mods from your NA to a new turbo.

Yeah £8500 is alot of money but that is a MINT example drooled over that a few times... Have to say though buying one in that condition would feel wrong to start modding it, i think i would prefer to buy a really cheap one and spend the money on a nice forged build and garret set up..

Just out of interest how much would you ask for it if you were selling, what would be your minimum? have not actually seen a 2gr for sale..

Er, £8500

There's a reason there isn't any for sale, they're brilliant!

Hmmmm it does seem like perfection really.. Nice TRD wide arch and some blitz technospeeds, pair of bride seats awwwwwwwwwwww =P~

Makes you think you would have to be INSANE to buy a Lotus Evora considering the price difference...

choices...

Post by bigchief10uk »

tbh mate the easiest and quickest way also the cheapest way is the tubby conversion, it drops straight in no problems at all.. its all the same mount points etc, you just need to have the intercooler and everything fitted extra that the n/a doesnt have and also change the driveshafts as the n/a ones arent as thick...
as for your choice of car your rev 4 black over silver 2 tone was actually the 10th aniversary edition they are quite rare so you should just keep it if it is in good condition and go with the engine swap... spend a bit of cash on it and you will have good big power for a pretty cheap price... a couple grand will see you looking at 300-350 bhp thats including new engine labour and parts :D

No it wasn't. 10th anniversary editions were either all silver or all blue. Black over silver is a colour scheme known as sonic shadow, which was unrelated to the anniversary.

I had *exactly* those alloys on my caribbean blue MR2, when I still had it. Don't see many sets of those! Mine had the centres in gunmetal though.
